Bracelets will be sold at the 4th Avenue Street Fair on March 21, 22, 23, 2014. Please look for the Silver Sea Jewelry booth across from the Silver Sea Jewelry store located at 330 N. 4th Avenue (look for turquoise awning & mermaid in the window, next to Bison Witches).

Got venue? We are looking for places, parties, events, wine tastings, soirees, festivals, fairs, or wherever there is a gathering of kindred souls to come sell bracelets for a cause. One-of-a-kind beaded, coiled bracelets will be for sale for $20. All money from the sale of these specific bracelets benefit Smiling Dog Rescue. Please shop at Silver Sea Jewelry for all your jewelry needs. It’s a locally-owned business.


Past – May 5-Jewelry Show and Wine Tasting, 5 to 8 p.m. CataVinos Wine Shoppe will have a jewelry show/wine tasting on Tuesday, May 5 (a more refined Cinco de Mayo event) featuring Tuareg jewelry from South Africa plus guest artists from Tucson including accessories for a cause – one of a kind beaded bracelets for greyhounds in need. In this case, Arizona Greyhound Rescue.

All of the work is very impressive and beautiful yet reasonably priced. Beaded bracelets benefiting greyhound rescue cost $20/each. Cash is accepted or make your check payable to Arizona Greyhound Rescue.

Come sample wine ($10 for 6 tastes plus nibbles). No wine is over $15/bottle. Browse and buy jewelry. Remember May 10 is Mother’s Day.

Past/April 4 – Blessing of the Animals at St. Francis in the Foothills Church from 10:30 to 2:30 p.m. The event is free; bring your pet for a fun-filled day. Bracelets that help pay the vet bills will be for sale for $20. After April 4, the vet bills will be paid off. View our bracelet display; there will be 50 one-of-a-kind beaded bracelets for sale.

Etsy: Lapis lazuli earringsBuy the earrings and the etsy site will donate the entire amount (less shipping) to pay the vet bills.

Past/4th Avenue Street Fair – March 20-22 in Tucson. Stop by the Silver Sea Jewelry & Gift Store at 330 N. 4th Avenue and buy a bracelet. There are also a few donated necklaces that go towards the vet bills.

Past/AZ Greyhound Rescue’s ROO-union at the Marana kennel on Saturday, March 21.  Bracelets will be sold there too.

Past/Buy homemade Greyhound-shaped dog biscuits to benefit Opal and Rider! Thanks to BuckarooBones for donating $3 for a half of pound or $6 for a full pound (less shipping) to the vet bills. Biscuits are made fresh when you order them!

SOLD: Quilt auction on ebay NOW.  (March 2008) View more detailed photos here. The quilt sold for $308.50 on 3/17/09. The winner is from Tucson and is Elizabeth Mead’s mother. Thank you to all who bid. I think there were 16 or 18 bids. Thank you to the gals at the Out to Lunch Quilting Bunch in the Phoenix area for donating the quilt. Thank you to Angy Shearer for hosting the quilt auction!

Past/Custom Fused Glass Jewelry and Accessories Buy one of these four items from Island Bead & Box at Artfire and the sale of these items (less shipping) goes directly to pay the greyhound vet bills. (2 items have sold-thank you)

Past/Saturday, Feb.  21 – Come to the Arizona Animal Fair (at Reid Park in Tucson 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) and look for the Desert Dog News table.  Buy a beautiful bracelet for $20 donation or look for amazing dog accessories from Greyt Escape.
