Happy Pit Bull

Happy Pit Bull

For the month of August 2012, Beading Divas to the Rescue is honored to be raising funds for Pit n’ Proud, a Tucson-based non-profit Pit Bull advocacy organization.

Founded in October 2010, Pit n’ Proud addresses the problems surrounding the American Pit Bull Terrier and related breeds in our community.

Pit n’ Proud is dedicated to increasing the acceptance of the American Pit Bull Terrier and related breeds as loving family dogs and capable working dogs through education, training, and promoting responsible ownership.

Pit n’ Proud exists because of a core group of dedicated volunteers. Pit n’ Proud is the outreach and educational arm of Adopt-a-Bull, a 501(c)3 non-profit Tucson area bully breed and rare mastiff rescue. Beading Divas raised money for Adopt-a-Bull in August 2010.

Stay tuned to this blog because you will be learning more about Pit n’ Proud during the month.

In the meantime, please consider buying a one-of-a-kind beautiful bracelet for only $20 or donate directly to Pit n’ Proud.

Adopt-a-Bull / Tucson non-profit

Beading Divas to the Rescue’s charity for August is:

Adopt-A-Bull is an all volunteer, non-profit 501c3 organization, who specializes in“bully type” placement including Pit Bulls, Bulldogs, and other bully breeds.

Adopt-A-Bull is a foster-based organization who rescues animals from Tucson local area shelters, as well as offers placement assistance to those who are in need of placing their dog, or a dog that they have found.

Adopt-A-Bull’s strong emphasis on education and public awareness allows volunteers and supporters to break the often negative stereotype that bully breeds have by promoting high standards of care and socialization that play a crucial part in creating “good breed ambassadors.”

All sales of bracelets for the month of August go to Adopt-a-Bull. Bracelets are one-of-a-kind. One size fits most. All are made with donated beads and come with a paw print charm for $20.

You can buy bracelets online via Lizzie Stardust at Etsy.com (please add $3 shipping).

Locally, in Tucson you can buy bracelets at these two location:

Silver Sea Jewelry & Gifts, 330 N. 4th Ave., 624-9954 – Also at this location only, Adopt-a-Bull is selling bracelets for $10 which includes cloisonne beads and a clicker.
