Tucson bracelet display for May

For the month of May, Beading Divas to the Rescue is selling bracelets for GREY2K USA Education Fund which does under cover investigations, videos, and advertisements to educate people about greyhound racing cruelty.

We started last week with 80+ bracelets in our online Etsy store and sold a great many and are building up inventory. Thanks to Diva Michelle for uploading them so quickly and for Honorary Diva Noni for adding some to the stash.

However, if you’re local to Tucson there’s a great selection at Silver Sea Jewelry & Gifts, 330 N. 4th Avenue, 520-624-9954 or a smaller selection at Dirty Dawgs Dog Wash, 2510 N. Campbell Avenue, 770-6045.

Here’s Diva Lizzie Mead, owner of Silver Sea Jewelry readying the bracelets for shipping. It’s quite a production how many hands and hearts go into this endeavor.     (Photos by Diva Loren Dawn)

Hot to Trot for Valentines Day

As we get close to the end of the month, I want to remind people that Beading Divas to the Rescue have some dazzling one of a kind beaded bracelets for sale for the same low price of $20. All of that $20 goes directly the Greyhounds of Verde Valley in Cottonwood, Arizona.

Valentine’s Day is fast approaching and what woman or young girl doesn’t want some eye candy for her wrist. These bracelets are especially meaningful because they go towards helping rescued greyhounds.

You can buy these beautiful baubles online (add $3 S&H)  or in Tucson at Silver Sea Jewelry & Gifts, 330 N. 4th Ave., 624-9954, and Dirty Dogs dog wash, 2510 N. Campbell Ave.,

The Beading Divas also want to thank Courtney Kelly who came to the bead drive contest drawing and donated 18 to 20 percent of sales that day from her colorful quirky art work to Greyhounds of Valley Verde.  I bought a really cool print that matches my vividly hued house. You can see and buy Courtney’s artwork here.

Sample bracelet to benefit Equine Voices

Christmas is around the corner and we still have some beautiful bracelets that will benefit Equine Voice Rescue & Sanctuary in Green Valley, Arizona.

Equine Voices does an awesome job rescuing horses who have suffered a miserable life in the “pee line by peeing into a cup” in the manufacturing of Premarin and to make big pharma richer and more powerful. Equine Voices also rescues other horses from abuse and neglect.

Please consider helping this charity because their monthly expenses range around $15,000 a month! Horses eat hay and hay is costly as well as medical expenses.

These bracelets are one of a kind made with an assortment of donated beads; coil around the wrist so they are easy to take on and off;  one size fits most; some have horse charms, paw charms, and greyhound charms. All the bracelets have names.

You can buy bracelets in Tucson at Silver Sea Jewelry & Gifts, 330 N. 4th Avenue, 520-624-9954. Bracelets make great stocking stuffers or treat yourself to a feel good gift that gives back.

Bracelets cost $20. All proceeds from the bracelets in December 2009 go directly to Equine Voices.

Bracelets benefiting Equine Voices

The 4th Avenue Street Fair is here in Tucson this weekend, December 11-13. Hooray! Let’s hope all the local merchants and artists make lots of money and the rain stays away.

Once again Lizzie Mead’s Silver Sea Jewelry & Gifts will be selling one-of-a-kind beaded bracelets made by Beading Divas to the Rescue and friends. For the month of December, all proceeds from these bracelets will benefit Equine Voices Rescue & Sanctuary.

The booth will be right across from the store at 330 N. 4th Avenue. Buy a bracelet and help the horses. Buy some jewelry and help local merchant, Silver Sea Jewelry & Gifts. Look for the mermaid in the window.
